The beginning of the song...

the band comes in E - - - EM7 - - - E7 - - - E7 - - - A - - - Am/F# - - - E - - - E - - -

This chord (the second bar of E7 in the second line of the first verse) is different. There is a clear change from the previous chord this time through that isn't in the first line. Is it just a G# bass on one of the guitars?

And by the way, the song sings just fine if you sing "Skip" (correct) instead of "Skipper" (incorrect).
