Battle of Galactica is a song written for the reading tour to support John Hodgman's new book, "More Information Than You Require". The song, intentionally misnamed to echo an anecdote in the book, is about the sexual tension between humans and robots on the television show "Battlestar Galactica", and is sung to the tune of the original television show's theme song.
Live performance
"Battle of Galactica" was performed at the premier of the "More Information Than You Require" in New York City on October 21st, 2008 and then again at the October 22nd, 2008 Brookline show. It is assumed it will be performed at other stops of the tour when Jonathan rejoins John.
Availability
The alternative weekly, the Phoenix, has released an audio recording of the entire Brookline show; "Battle of Galactica" appears about 37 minutes into the recording.
It was announced at the New York event that the reading will eventually appear at www.barnesandnoble.com/bn-studio. It is unknown when this will occur.
