"Bills, Bills, Bills" is a cover of the Destiny's Child R&B/Pop song. It appears in Jonathan Coulton's collection of miscellaneous tracks, Other Experiments.

History[edit]

"Bills, Bills, Bills" was covered by Jonathan after, according to the blog entry, "it’s been stuck in my head since the first time I heard its delicious groove on the FM radio".

Live performance[edit]

"Bills, Bills, Bills" had never been performed at a Jonathan Coulton concert until it was shouted out as a request at the June 5th 2008 Cincinnati show. Jonathan did his best fumbling through an acoustic version of the song, once asking the requester "what verse comes next" and skipping parts. It has since been performed several more times, with Paul and Storm and usually Molly.

Trivia[edit]

  • Ironically, Jonathan said at the time of releasing "Bills, Bills, Bills" that "I don’t usually do covers". Since then, of course, both recorded and live covers have become a staple of his music.

Availability[edit]

Downloads[edit]

"Bills, Bills, Bills" is currently only available for purchase in the Jonathan Coulton MP3 Store as an individual track or as part of Other Experiments collection. Of course, this song is also included as part of the "Everything" playlist.

Downloadable FLAC versions of the above are available in the Jonathan Coulton FLAC Store.

CD[edit]

"Other Experiments" was never available in CD form.
