History
"Bozo's Lament" was originally written live, as an improvisational song when Jonathan performed in a coffee shop. A patron suggested the circus as a topic, and when Jonathan decided he liked a few of the improvised lines, he continued to work on the song for Smoking Monkey.[1]
Trivia
- Bozo is a clown that is very popular in the United States, from shows such as "Bozo's Big Top" and "Bozo's Circus," which aired in the 1960's.
