Trivia

  • Written for John Hodgman's Little Gray Books Lecture #23: "Brookline, The Town That Has Everything Yet at the Same Time Has Nothing", delivered on November 5, 2003. [1]
  • The lyric "A talk show host, an author, a president, a king" could refer to any number of people. Jonathan has admitted in an interview [2] to having made up the "president" and "king" parts, yet John F. Kennedy and King Gillette were both born in Brookline, as was author and frequent Jonathan Coulton collaborator John Hodgman.
