Trivia[edit]

- "Mason" refers to Freemasonry, an ancient fraternal society, whose members use many secret rituals and symbols in their meetings.
- "Shriners", a related organization whose members wear the famous red fez, are also briefly mentioned in the song
- Although the song indicates the narrator was a Shriner before they joined the Masons, this is impossible as membership in a Masonic lodge is a prerequisite for becoming a Shriner.
