Trivia
- One of five songs Coulton wrote to accompany Popular Science's Future of the Body issue. The article that inspired this song is about the future of pharmaceuticals, discussing the possibilities of modulating human emotions with medication. The song is an ironic tribute to prescription drugs, portraying its narrator as completely dependent on medication and numbed beyond all emotion as a result.
- Subject of a PopSci contest for the best fan-submitted videos, held from May-June 2007. Coulton said of the winner, Andrea Crain (aka Anniekate76), "I like AnnieKate's video because it's got this very simple visual look, but it's deep, man. I keep noticing new stuff every time I watch it, all these quick cuts to funny things. It's like an episode of Lost, but funny, and with stick figures."
- Name-checked in the lyrics to Still Alive.
- PopSci's "The Future of The Body: The Soundtrack" page, from whence this song came.
