And then, and I had that line "Pull The String," which I think. Honestly, I think it doesn't make that much sense in the song. But this was really the best I could do. To build a song around that line. Which is the idea that somebody, somebody famous out there, everything is going really well, except they have a, some sort of terrible secret. That they know will destroy them. And maybe they hate being famous anyway. So, they're just tempted all the time to just like let it go and make it all go away. Oh *beep*, it's about me! It's totally about me. |

Len and Nora, come in, Len and Nora. Jonathan Coulton, calling. How are you? I know that you can't answer because this is an answering machine, so I'm just going to assume that you're OK. That's all I can do. So, Pull the String. I don't know who this is about. It's not about, really, it's not about anyone in particular. But it, you know? It's kinda about having a secret.
