WikiProject:Hardware Vs Software[edit]

  • Delete - it seems obvious to me this was a one-off. This information could probably go in the individual show page. --Lex (talk - contribs) 19:25, 8 May 2008 (EDT)
  • Delete - I was willing to go along with the general consensus to wait and see whether it happened again, but I've been for deleting it from the start (or at least making it something other than a WikiProject, which I understand as something pertinent to wiki maintenance, e.g. lyrics and Song of the Day). --Bry 19:28, 8 May 2008 (EDT)
  • Delete - I agree. Make it a page sure, just not WikiProject. Although I'd be interested to see the results! ~ Percephene ~ talk contribs 11:44, 08 May 2008
  • Delete- Unfortunately, I agree. I was really hoping he'd hold up to the "let's do this and make the Wiki guys keep track" thing, but it appears to be a one time joke. --MitchO 23:55, 8 May 2008 (EDT)
  • Delete- "The Wiki guys" can keep track in the short term by using the page for each show, if necessary. If there's enough volume, establish a policy of tracking the total somewhere else, but even then, it's not really a WikiProject. -mtgordon

Shows calendar/Calendar "Shows calendar" (5-31-2008) - Event 1[edit]

(Deleted. --Bry 13:00, 12 June 2008 (EDT))

Keep
Delete
  • Delete - The contents of this page are as follows: "FRESNO, CA!" I don't think there's actually a Fresno show scheduled, is there? JoCo's recent blog post reads, "Coming up next are Cincinnati, Columbus, Pittsburgh and dear old NYC." Vote to delete, assuming the show is fictitious. --Bry 19:44, 22 May 2008 (EDT)
  • Delete - Even if there going to be a show, that's not how it should be entered on the calendar anyway. Delete it, and if we're missing an announcement, recreate it with the correct REDIRECT command. --MitchO 22:00, 22 May 2008 (EDT)
  • Delete - As above, not a real show yet. Wishful thinking on someone's part methinks! *goes to create the New Zealand show page!* ~ Percephene ~ talk contribs 11:59, 25 May 2008
  • Delete - I think what needs to be said has been said. -mtgordon 16:33, 28 May 2008 (EDT)

Bry[edit]

Keep
  • Keep - Sorry but I'm going to have to rain on this self-deprecation parade. You are an important figure in the JoCoverse and do a lot to keep the forums running smoothly. You deserve a page. TBH, I was always a bit awed when you'd reply to me personally on the forums! *blush* I'm sure we can find something to link you to. Is there a page about the forum community anywhere? That would certainly need a link to you. ~ Percephene ~ talk contribs 11:56, 25 May 2008
  • Keep-Anything I say will really be a repeat of what's already been said countless times. The forum is perhaps the largest part of the JoCoverse-maybe fan videos but that's not for this post-and as the head guy for control (or at least one of them) you deserve a page. Modesty of course is admirable-but hey, nobody said you had to look at it did they. We could make it somewhere else and hide it from you. :-D. --Jon Who 22:22 4 June 2008 (GMT)
Delete
  • Delete - I'm flattered, truly flattered, that BenS saw fit to create a page for me, but I'm not all that sure it's something that ought to be in JoCopedia. I mean, I rarely surface out of the forums, so certainly no one who doesn't follow the forums knows who Bry is (unlike Spiff or Len or any of you guys). Most compellingly, though, it's not a page that would have any incoming links. For everyone else, there's a logical reason that they need to be linked to -- Spiff from the song video pages, awryone from the pages of songs that he hosts, Emily from Code Monkey and from the Chicago show where she performed, etc. There's not much reason for a page for me, because nothing should ever link to it. I'd delete the page and not recreate it until I've done something notable. --Bry 11:55, 24 May 2008 (EDT)

Yo Soy Rick Springfield[edit]

Result was delete, but it should be restored and moved to Cruise:Yo Soy Rick Springfield sometime later. AirCon 20:30, 23 April 2013 (EDT)

not sure about the necessity of restoration yet. yes the cruise namespace is going to be more lenient. but i'm still questioning the relevance of this. -apollo (colloquia!) 22:31, 23 April 2013 (EDT)

It's just something some guy came up with on JCCC3 on open mic night, I don't see why it deserves a full article. AirCon 16:27, 31 March 2013 (EDT)

Glen Raphael[edit]

Result was delete. AirCon 20:30, 23 April 2013 (EDT)

This is an obvious vanity page, and Raphael's notability is very dubious. AirCon 16:27, 31 March 2013 (EDT)

  • Delete -It falls in the same category as the unofficial jococruisecrazy 3 group pages. This page really existed ONLY to provide additional optional focused context supporting the page "JoCo_Cruise_Crazy/JoCo_Cruise_Crazy_3" that linked to it. (I gave a big concert on JCCC3) I didn't know about user namespace. Now that JCCC3 is past, I'm fine with deleting it. I'm actually not sure HOW to delete a page, so I'll leave that part up to you. --Glenra (talk) 15:41, 21 April 2013 (EDT)

Unofficial JoCo Cruise Crazy 3 Groups[edit]

Result was move to this newfangled "Cruise" namespace. AirCon 20:30, 23 April 2013 (EDT)

Pages like I Crunch Everything, Snorkel Monkeys, Speed Meeting, etc. These all are similar so I'm just going to lump them all here. Most pages there are completely unofficial, are barely one sentence long, and have almost no notability whatsoever. Should we delete them? AirCon 16:27, 31 March 2013 (EDT)

  • i'm going to make a template for these today so that we can move them to a single page in the forthcoming cruise: namespace. see the forum post. -apollo (colloquia!) 16:09, 15 April 2013 (EDT)

JoCopedia:Moderators[edit]

Result was: Keep, facilitated by Apollo without consensus. There is no reason to delete this page, as it contains useful information and is, in fact, a standard page (it would be akin to deleting Help:Contents). -apollo (colloquia!) 20:01, 26 April 2013 (EDT)

We already have an admin page, is this even necessary? AirCon 15:21, 15 April 2013 (EDT)

  • not sure. the talk page is the important thing there. we could probably replace it with a Contact page, per TMBW. -apollo (colloquia!) 16:09, 15 April 2013 (EDT)
  • just kidding, i don't know what i'm saying — [meta namespace]:user group is a standard feature on wikis. it definitely needs to exist, though it could just redirect here. i'm writing up a contact page, BUT i'm still not sure whether or not we should preserve the noticeboard institution? -apollo (colloquia!) 16:16, 15 April 2013 (EDT)
  • Well, I think we could move that talk page there to JoCopedia talk:Administrators. AirCon 19:49, 15 April 2013 (EDT)
  • maybe. let's see if others weigh in. -apollo (colloquia!) 20:08, 15 April 2013 (EDT)
