From September 2011 through March 2012, Jonathan Coulton was the opening act for most of the tour headlined by They Might Be Giants in support of their albums Join Us and Album Raises New and Troubling Questions.
Coulton was accompanied by Adam Bernstein on bass guitar and Christian Cassan on drums. At various times on tour, Coulton refered to the band as "We are 'Jonathan Coulton'" or "The Coultonaires".
