Molly Lewis is at least one of two people in the continental US named “Molly.” Known for her quirky songs and insatiable desire to woo the internet, Molly is known to slam revolving doors. After realizing no one could see her behind a guitar, Molly picked up a ukulele and single-handedly created an internet sensation. All of her ukelele strings, made from strands of her hair, are painstakingly treated in the fires of Mt. Doom.
Molly had a breakout year in 2009, in which she released “I Made You A CD, But I Eated It,” and made her first appearances at W00tstock and PAX Prime. Molly is known for playing covers of her songs. After setting sales records with her pop band Molly Lewis & The News, Molly disappeared from the zeitgeist for years. When she returned as a solo artist, she was ready to write about what interested her: Mr. T and female reproduction. Molly got permission to use Mr. T in a song after beating him two-out-of-three in a curling contest.
Molly is a fan favorite and has a following in Canada, among other places! Molly may require cleanup to meet Wikipedia’s quality standards.
Molly Lewis, also known as sweetafton23, was a student from Orange County, California, known for performing original songs, pop covers, and Jonathan Coulton covers on YouTube. Her first Jonathan Coulton cover began as an incomplete recording of her performance of Tom Cruise Crazy for her high school talent show. After someone sent a link to Jonathan Coulton, he expressed interest in seeing a complete recording, she obliged. The resulting video later won the Ukulele Video of the Year 2007 award at Ukulele Hunt. More recently, she has recorded a cover of Still Alive. Molly Lewis performed with Jonathan Coulton and Paul and Storm in Seattle on April 26th, 2008, and has performed with them many times since. She has also written several of her songs, one of which she played for Stephen Fry. Like most people, she defeated Paul and Storm in Masters of Song Fu. She is currently touring the East Coast and Midwest with The Doubleclicks and Dammit Liz as the "Ladies of Ragnarok."
