"Pull the String" was released as the fiftieth [[Thing a Week]] on September 15th, 2006.  However, Jonathan said on the [[joco:2006/09/15/thing-a-week-50-pull-the-string/|blog entry]] for the song that the guitar riff has been "in his head since he was about seventeen".

Hi Vince,Thanks for dropping by my blog and yes, my mum is much betetr now, and so am I!You're right about reading a  proper  book. I find it so much betetr than trying to study online, but it is hard to find the time to fit it in.Currently, I'm just trying to work out how to submit my last book to Amazon to have it published on demand.  You can do that, you know, so if you ever decide to write your own story, bear it in mind.I've just turned down a contract with a big publisher for the book so I hope I haven't just shot myself in the foot, so to speak.Time will tell, but as you heard in the interview with Darren, I think things happen for a reason, and like him, I also have gut feelings about what's right and wrong (for me).Keep following YOUR instincts and your 2B or not 2B message and you WILL get there .Take care,Jeanjean s last blog ..
"Pull the String" is believed to have never been played at a Jonathan Coulton concert.
