Sam Potts is a New York-based graphic designer. He designed the lovely packaging and media art for Jonathan Coulton's 2011 studio album, Artificial Heart, as well as related merchandise surrounding the album's release. Potts created the Diagnostic Metrics series and arranged the information surrounding their meanings, including the mysterious Tucson Diagnostics site.

Potts also designed the jackets for The Areas of My Expertise, More Information Than You Require, and That Is All by John Hodgman, and he did the jacket designs and cover pages for They Might Be Giants' Bed, Bed, Bed book. Outside his Coulton-relevant work, Potts has also collaborated with the New York Times, the Independent Film Channel, and a number of other notable clients.
