Thomast has linked all the images used in the Flickr video and asks for comment on how they are to be used:

Linked version of the Flickr lyrics. I just put it at the bottom of the existing lyrics - does that seem best?

  • I think I might prefer links within the original lyrics, but then again that might be confusing too. The linked version feels a bit too much to me -- maybe what I'm thinking would be something like this:

There's a small town in the mountains where the streets are white and still [1]
There are children making angels in the snow [2] [3]
The sunset paints the sky at night [4]
An old man works by candlelight [5]
A tiny baby smiles and waves hello [6]
In the cold gray light of dawn an eagle flies [7] [8]
And the men are happy wearing matching ties [9]

Actually, on preview that doesn't look good either. (Also, it kinda wastes the point of the lyrics extension.) --Bry 01:02, 30 April 2008 (EDT)

If we took Bry's idea and just put the links on the left...we'd end up with a table. Still a waste of the lyrics extension, but it seems to look reasonable. — Wesley | 06:57, 30 April 2008 (EDT)
[10] There's a small town in the mountains where the streets are wide and still
[11] [12] There are children making angels in the snow
[13] The sunset paints the sky at night
[14] An old man works by candlelight
[15] A tiny baby smiles and waves hello
[16] [17] In the cold gray light of dawn an eagle flies
[18] And the men are happy wearing matching mangoes
I don't mind Thomast's full link version, personally, but if general consensus wants to "clean up" the links, I think Wesley's table is the way to go. It allows the inconsistent size of the lines of the song to look neat because of their left align. Shame about those few pictures going Private or deleted. --MitchO 10:12, 30 April 2008 (EDT)
I'm a fan of Wesley's version. Admittedly it might be a hassle for people who want to copy and paste the lyrics somewhere else (I mean outside of JoCopedia), but I think it works out better than the other suggestions so far. --Bry 10:37, 30 April 2008 (EDT)
I used non-breaking spaces to make the verse breaks bigger, and am now de-RFCing this page--Thomast 13:38, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
