:Englighten the ignorant American.  "Elided"?  I checked out [http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/elided Merriam Webster], and I'm guessing you mean without the thingamabobs above and below the words.  Why would a version without them matter?  Is the concern that some folks won't have those characters in their library, and see squares?  If it's showing up on my Firefox with no attempt on my part to make sure I have fru fru French letters, then I would think it's going to be on just about everyone else's browser. --[[User:MitchO|MitchO]] 10:15, 30 April 2008 (EDT)
