There was an alternate version that corrects the Garfield date. I can't quite make it out, but he alters the Grant line to end in the word "fun" thusly "General Grant thought [Gettysburg?] was fun." Then he fixes the Garfield date.
Does anyone know what the songs are that he plays on the harmonica in the "intermissions" between the words? I think one is Yankee Doodle Dandy, but what is the other? maybe Hail to the Chief ?
