what people think of what I say.That being said, I wish to share that I have never adnteted a SMCKC event and I have been very honest about my reasons. I live in South Johnson County. I have four kids that have to be at school or child care at 8am. I work 10-12 hour days. Do I want pity? No. I have an amazing life. The simple fact is that I am not physically in a place where I can be in KC MO at 7:30am. I'm just not. I voiced this concern to several members of the SMCKC and they each indicated it was a priortiy to bring functions to the Kansas side during a lunch hour time frame. I tried to involve myself to speed the process. I arranged a location. I used my connections to secure a very reasonable meal price and free accommodations. I was told by a friend sitting on the board that the majority of the existing board agreed that the current situation was fine and that this area was not as affordable; that the club had a good relationship with the current facilitator and did not want to offend them or burn bridges by relocation. I did not see promise of the network moving to a location or time that I could join, so I was elated to be informed of a club that would be a more reasonable commute for my schedule.I was approached in the same manor, identically, as John Epperson explained above. Likewise, I am only familiar with Evans Media Group through social networking conversations. What I know about them is admittedly little. My research into the company (cuz let's face it; my name is on this shit going around, too!) showed a history of being driven by passion. When a cause arises, their actions indicate that they are diligent, persistent and proceed with experience. I admire those qualities and feel that association with this group  is far more likely to bring positive recognition than adversity to my brand.The behavior I have witnessed over the last week has mortified me. I work very hard, as do my colleagues, to teach businesses how to effectively use social media outlets to their advantage. Professionals in this field are aware that this is no easy task. I shudder to think that any of my loyal clients may have witnessed activities that not only discredit positive promotional efforts, but are a blatant picture of what is feared most by novices to this arena; public slander and direct attack strategies as a means to emphasize opinions and sway thought.As a Mom of four, I've earned the right to use these harsh words to show my disdain; Shame on you all .
