YAY! The Netherfield stay is the first of many "favorite" moments to come. I tlaked about it in my response, too. It's one of those things I read over and over again, tickled every time.I LOVE seeing the thoughts of someone who's never read it. It takes me back and makes me look at things anew again.And yes, I left off before the ball intentionally. It literally opens the next chapter. I wanted there to be some anticipation, and there's SO MUCH TO TALK ABOUT with the ball.As for the humor - Collins IS creepy, but more a sycophant than anything threatening. And I think Mr Bennet is HILARIOUS. What about it bothers you for the time?
