Hi, Andybates, and welcome to JoCopedia! Thanks heaps for your contributions thus far! We really hope you like the place and decide to stay!

If you're new to wikis you might find the following "new-user" links helpful. Even if you are familiar with other wikis, each one is different, so please have a brief look at some point.

Questions

Welcome again, Andy. :) If you're looking for a quick back and forth with someone (like this), what you did is perfect; it alerts the user that they have a new message, so they know to look. If you're looking for a more "what should the wiki do?" open question that you want a discussion about, I'd suggest the Moderator Noticeboard, where we're trying to come up with consistencies, projects, etc.

Take a look at Emily and Kristen Shirts' pages as an example of what I'm hoping to get for you as well. They do a decent job of giving a full yet streamlined job of all the history of where the fan intersects with JoCo, particularly if it's "referenced" somewhere. Like I remember knowing and reading the story of the "comp ticket", but I don't know the exact details and where it's written down, as it were. And it's always best to get the info from the source.

At the very least, feel free to put in what you want and at the worst, we moderators will try to take a chance to trim it down. Like, for example, I have no doubt you're "one of the awesomest people on the planet", but I hope you (and/or the editor, if that wasn't you) don't take offense at me trimming it down, lol. :) --MitchO 13:54, 14 July 2008 (EDT)

Okay, I fleshed out the article a bit. Let me know if it's too much. Also, I didn't write that part about being "one of the awesomest people on the planet"; for one thing, I wouldn't have misspelled "arguably." Yeah, we probably don't need some of the personal stuff, but it definitely fills up the story. When I get a chance, I'll sit down and take my editors shears to it. But I'd rather it sit with too much than too little, particularly when it's from the source. Thanks! --MitchO 15:02, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
