One of a series of short songs that Jonathan Coulton did as covers on Ze Frank's web video show. See Songs from Ze Frank's "The Show" for more details.
Walnuts was first performed by Ze Frank on the episode of his show dated May 17, 2006. It is based on a quote by Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. According to the Associated Press, Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying "Do you think you are dealing with a 4-year-old child to whom you can give some walnuts and chocolates and get gold from him?"[1]
Jonathan Coulton performed the song on May 8, 2007, as Ze Frank stood next to him and pretended to sing and play guitar.
