For non-guitar people, the initial key is A. Major or minor? Hey, no third!
The verse pattern is: a-e-a-e-a-d# | a-d-a-d-a-e# .
The fast turnaround: e-e-e-e-g#-a-b .
The transition from the verse to the chorus: a-d-a-d-c#-e#-c#-e# (C#7 chord) .
Chorus chords (move through inversions): F# Maj, C#7 sus, F# Maj, B Maj | F# Maj, C#7 sus, F# Maj, B Maj | F# Maj, C#7 sus, F# Maj, B Maj | b min, E7, A (the Pattern above).
C#7 sus means that instead of dropping down to the e# you'd normally find in a C#7 chord, you "suspend" the F#, thus creating a bit of harmonic tension. C#7 sus still gives you the most important notes: G# and b natural.
Grand Finale, chords (and descending bass line), repeating three times: A Maj (a-g#-f#-e) | b min (d-b) | E7 (e-e) .
P.S. "Maj" means Major triad, not a seventh chord or some crazy jazz substitution.
