|Release||Thing a Week Three|
"When You Go" is a song on Jonathan Coulton's sixth album, Thing a Week Three. The song is a cappella, though it's meaning is a little blurry. Upon it's release, JoCo said it was a breakup song, but not necessarily about the end of a romance. 5 years later he stated on his website that he was thinking about his daughter when he wrote it, imagining the day when she leaves home for college, or the army, or whatever it is she's going to do.
"When You Go" was released as the twenty-eighth Thing a Week on April 7th, 2006.
"When You Go" is occasionally played at Jonathan Coulton concerts.
