History
"You Could Be Her" was released as the sixteenth Thing a Week, on January 6th, 2006. The song was originally written for and recorded by Jonathan Coulton's previous band, Supergroup. (For another song originally written for Supergroup, see Madelaine.)
Live performance
"You Could Be Her" is believed to have never been played at a Jonathan Coulton concert.
Trivia
- A cursory Google search for "Buckingham Mall" returns many references to an Aurora, Colorado shopping center that was demolished in 2007. It is unknown whether there exists a specific mall Jonathan had in mind when writing the lyrics.
